The Lawyers...
Attorney Jason Ryan Thompson
Attorney Jason Ryan Thompson is the principal and founder of Thompson Advocacy, a Law Corporation. From trial to appeal and beyond, Mr. Thompson has earned victories at all stages of criminal, civil, and
administrative proceedings within only his first five years of entering the practice of law. He has drafted
land use voter initiatives, successfully led efforts to qualify those initiatives for placement on municipal
election ballots, including special election ballots, and successfully defended the constitutionality of a
voter initiative against a legal challenge brought by a large public entity. A proponent of civil rights, Mr.
Thompson has litigated cases against the bullying tactics of municipal officials and law enforcement
officers in both state and federal courts. He has vigorously defended professionals in state licensing
board revocation hearings, individuals accused of committing serious financial and cannabis-related
felony offenses, and controversial political activists accused of civil disobedience. Several of Mr.
Thompson's cases have attracted national media attention, and his work has been covered in numerous
print and television news stories. His diverse set of clients ranges from leading cannabis industry startup
companies, to highly accomplished professionals, to indigent individuals in dire need of high-impact legal
representation.
Mr. Thompson earned his Bachelor of Arts degree from California State University in 2006, and he went
on to earn the degree of Juris Doctor from the University of La Verne College of Law in 2009. Click here
