Attorney Jason Ryan Thompson
Attorney Jason Ryan Thompson is the principal and founder of Thompson Advocacy, a Law Corporation. From trial to appeal and beyond, Mr. Thompson has earned victories at all stages of criminal, civil, and
administrative proceedings within only his first five years of entering the practice of law. He has drafted
land use voter initiatives, successfully led efforts to qualify those initiatives for placement on municipal
election ballots, including special election ballots, and successfully defended the constitutionality of a
voter initiative against a legal challenge brought by a large public entity. A proponent of civil rights, Mr.
Thompson has litigated cases against the bullying tactics of municipal officials and law enforcement
officers in both state and federal courts. He has vigorously defended professionals in state licensing
board revocation hearings, individuals accused of committing serious financial and cannabis-related
felony offenses, and controversial political activists accused of civil disobedience. Several of Mr.
Thompson's cases have attracted national media attention, and his work has been covered in numerous

Attorney Cristyl A. Meyers, of Counsel
Ms. Meyers is a former Deputy City Attorney and Prosecutor. She currently represents plaintiffs and defendants aggrieved and injured by local governments, and her areas of focus are land use, legislation, voter initiatives, code enforcement, civil rights, litigation and appellate work.
Ms. Meyers earned her Bachelor of Science degree in computer graphics from California Polytechnic State University, San Luis Obispo in 1986. Following a successful career in the computer and networking industries, Ms. Meyers volunteered in the juvenile court system and also provided assistance to victims of domestic violence. Moved by these experiences, she attended law school, and in 2000 earned the degree of Juris Doctor through Whittier Law School's Center for Children's Rights.
Today, Ms. Meyers continues her dedication and passion to protect the rights of persons harassed and wrongly accused by local governments and their officials.
